Posting new events on the original MFS web site required the creation and uploading of HTML markup. Event reservation requests were sent in to MFS via email. Reservation confirmations were returned via email. Membership renewal reminders were sent manually via email. New membership requests were sent to MFS by email and had to be processed manually. This was a time-consuming, manual operation.
IMT designed and developed a web-based application that consisted of both a (customer facing) front end web site, and a back end web-based administrative site. This allowed for the complete automation of reservations, ticket purchases, and reservation confirmations, and membership applications and renewals. Further, the administrative back end allowed the site administrator to post new events without the need for HTML coding, and in a fraction of the original time. The administrative back end also provides reports that detail reservation and membership activity.
